Holy Ground

This is a great photo sent to us by Erin O. It's a photo of the courtyard at St. Mark's Church on NW 21st. Black and white really makes the crucifix stand out.

Old Portland Haunt...

Christina J. took this photo. She states "This photo was shot at My Father's Place on SE Grand on 6/27/09. This is one of my favorite diners in Portland, and I love the fact that not much has been updated." She also felt like mentioning "I currently live in Seattle. I am a Native, growing up on the Eastside. I come back nearly every weekend. If the job market were better, I'd still be in Portland."
We look forward to having you back one day Christina!

Undercover Photo

We recieved this Photo from Alex L. who explains it best by stating "One of my favorite things to do is go undercover in Portland's happy places and take pictures. I use old-fashioned medium format usually which is what this was taken with. The graceful undulating lines of Burnside Skatepark kind of go unnoticed when there are skaters and friends all around, but from this view it was absolutely perfect."

Local pictures, not local photographers.

Here is a photo taken by Brian G. who lives in San Diego. He was concerned that the fact that he doesn't currently reside in Portland would prevent him from being eligible for this contest. We can ship our coffee beans thus, you are eligible to win even if you don't live in the Portland area. The pictures however, do need to be of the Portland area (at least for this contest). This beautiful photo was taken in Vietnam. Thank you Brian for your submission. This picture may come in handy in future photo contests.

So very Portland...

This photo was taken by Alex V. of a very special and personal moment. I will leave it to the photographer to share the story behind the photo if he so chooses. For me, it is a very good representation of Portland style, color and culture.

Sauvie Island

This picture was taken by Robert G. from the old Sauvie Island bridge back in October of 2005.

Portland at night...

Here is a beautiful entry from Will M. It's a view we have all seen, but few capture it on film as well as Will did.

Our first entry...

Ummmm, there is something off with this photo. Oh, I know... It doesn't have Portland anywhere in the backdrop. Although these are Portland natives, we do need some Portland scenery to go with this adorable family photo.

Let it begin...

The photo contest officially begins on August 1st, but please feel free to submit your photo at any time.
The first winner will be selected on August 6th.
