World Cup Coffee & Tea loves the community we serve and in turn support us. Portland is a fantastic place to live and work. A large part of our city’s appeal is the beauty that can be found in its design, culture and environment. We know that several of our neighbors see this same beauty and tend to capture it on film. We at World Cup would love to see these pictures and want to share them with our coffee and tea drinking friends.

Not Portland, but very Oregon
I received this great photo of the Astoria Bridge from Vesta O. Regrettably, this particular contest is for Portland area Photo’s only. Future contests will likely include all of Oregon so please keep photos like these handy. I still felt like sharing it, so here you go. Thank you Vesta!

Are you familiar with the history behind those old pilings along the Astoria Waterfront? They are all that is left of the original business district after a fire wiped out 30 blocks of downtown Astoria on December 8th, 1922. The fire traveled under the boardwalk that (at the time) was not accessible to firefighters. It started as a kitchen fire in a downtown restaurant. Just a little trivia to go with the photo…
