I won't lie, this photo contest is a lot of fun for all of us here at World Cup Coffee & Tea. Our reason for doing though is simply that we are a small community roaster and take great pride in the people that support us. Portland is an amazing town for several reasons including it's people and it's beauty. This contest allowed us to showcase both so it has been our pleasure. It gets even better when those that participate in the contest also understand what we are about.
With that said, I had to share a recent message from John K. (a contestant):
"Thank you for running the contest, Ken. I've been enjoying seeing all the entries - it's a really nice addition to the community, having a place to share our little views of it. I'm regularly struck by the number of people in Portland that are passionate about doing something in their private lives. Speaking of which, in case you have any interest in classical music, or know others that do, there's a group I'm peripherally involved with (I maintain their web site) called the Oregon Sinfonietta - people who pool their talents 4 times a year for performances. They'll be doing a free concert this Sunday, the 7th, at 3:00 PM. Details at www.cmsomus.org , if you are looking for an alternative to football."
World Cup Coffee & Tea loves the community we serve and in turn support us. Portland is a fantastic place to live and work. A large part of our city’s appeal is the beauty that can be found in its design, culture and environment. We know that several of our neighbors see this same beauty and tend to capture it on film. We at World Cup would love to see these pictures and want to share them with our coffee and tea drinking friends.
